Crystal Frolics 2009

Below is the Crystal Frolics Event Schedule.  There will also be a copy of the schedule in the Crystal Frolics tabloid supplement in the July 16 Sun Post. All activities are at Becker Park unless otherwise noted.  The Crystal Frolics is sponsored by the Crystal Frolics Committee, which is comprised of members of Crystal civic groups and interested residents.  We appreciate the help from all who make the Frolics a successful community event.  The following schedule is subject to change, so please check back on the day of the event.

Thursday, July 23
First clue in the search for the Crystal Ball appears in the Sun Post on July 23
Noon-2:00pm Kids, Cops and Fire Fighters Fair @ the Crystal Shopping Center
12:30pm Senior citizen Norwegian Whist Tournament at the Crystal Community Center Partner Required: $3/person
 
5:00pm-10:00pm

Men's & Women's softball Tournament begins at Becker Park. Games will be followed by Men's and Women's Home Run Derby at Becker Park

6:00pm-9:00pm Bill Koncar Polka Band on stage at Becker Park
6:00pm-Midnight Carnival and food booths open.  This year's carnival is
provided by Midwest Rides, Inc.  Special discount ride tickets will be available in the Frolics Tabloid
 
ALL DAY Side Walk Sale at the Crystal Shopping Center
Friday, July 24
12:30pm Senior citizen Bridge Tournament at the Crystal Community Center Partner Required: $3/person
5:00pm-10:00pm Men's & Women's Softball Tournament at area parks.  Schedules to be posted in the Sun Post, and on www.crystalfrolics.org
6:00pm-Midnight Carnival and Food Booths open
6:00pm-Midnight BINGO at Becker Park
7:00pm-11:30pm Music-JUG on the Stage at Becker Park
Karaoke near the beverage tent

7:45am 1/2 mile kids' Fun Run (7:45am) 5K Run (8:00am) at Bassett Creek Park Information Here
8:00am-Noon Women's Auxillary host all you can eat Waffle Breakfast at West Metro Fire Station 1 - Cost $6.00
8:00am-10:00pm Men's & Women's softball tournament continues
10:00am-5:00pm Baggo Tournament in front of the Becker Park Stage

11:00am Skate Park Demonstration & Competition 
11:15am-12:45pm SPLASH BASH at the Crystal Cove Aquatic Center

Search for the Crystal Ball
You could be the winner in the Search for the Crystal Ball! To participate, purchase a Crystal Frolics Button at the Crystal Community Center, Associated Bank and other locations. Information regarding Button sales will be up shortly .

The first clue will be published in the July 23 SunPost. Rules and new clues will be posted at the Associated Bank on Bass Lake Rd., Crystal Community Center, Lions Valley Place Park, and Becker Park. The Crystal Ball will be found somewhere on public property in our community. The winner will receive a $500 U.S. Savings Bond. This contest is sponsored by the Crystal Park and Recreation Advisory Commission and Associated Bank, who will donate the winning bond.

PARADE ROUTE: Crystal Frolics parade route begins just north of 51st place n. near the railroad tracks on Douglas Drive and heads to West Broadway and then goes north to Bass Lake Road, then east to Becker Park, where it ends.
